Bird Watching Tour

Back by popular demand, Prospect's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee has scheduled a second Bird Walk "Birding" for Sunday, April 14th at 1:00 pm.  Please arrive early enough so we can depart promptly at 1:00 pm.

We will meet at the Harrods Creek Park picnic tables near the parking lot.  The walk will begin on the Orange trail that parallels Harrods Creek, this trail is fairly flat but will have one steep uphill climb before we intersect with the Blue Trail. We will return on the Blue Trail.

Our Bird-Watching guide will be Jacob Crider, Educator and Naturalist for the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.  Jacob also serves on the Board of Directors at the Louisville Audubon Society.

Hiking Conditions: The trails are often muddy so wear shoes or boots that have good traction and that you don't mind getting muddy.

Recommendation: It is strongly recommended that you bring binoculars and a sturdy walking stick.

Rain will cancel the event.
