Parks and Recreation Committee

Mission and Goals

The Committee makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council for maintenance and improvement projects in city-owned parks and lands, organizes volunteers to create and improve public walking and hiking trails, and facilitates Boy Scout Eagle Projects in city parks. The committee also hosts special events such as guided trail walks, bird walks, and spring wildflower walks!

Committee Members

Members of the Committee are Prospect residents and are appointed by the Mayor. Current members are:

Committee Meetings

The Parks and Recreation Committee meets in City Hall at 6:00 pm on the date of the City Council Meeting (Generally, the 3rd Monday of the month). Interested Prospect residents are welcome to attend. The meeting agenda is posted on the City Hall bulletin board not less than one business day before the meeting.
