Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City Council meeting scheduled for April 20 has been canceled. City Hall remains staffed but is closed to the public. Feel free to call 228-1121 during business hours (228-1150 for the Prospect Police Department) if you have questions or need assistance.
Prospect City Hall is closed to the public until further notice. The City Council meeting scheduled for March 16 has been cancelled.
The Harrods Creek Park parking lot and kayak launch will be closed this coming Sunday November 17th until approximately 1 pm to accommodate the 3rd annual Harrods Creek Trail Bash 5k and 10k run. Spectators are welcome.

Prospect will again be offering a variety of 75 free trees to residents at Arborfest on October 26th from 10 am to 2 pm (or as long as the trees last). Most are mid-sized tree species, and many are spring bloomers. Quantities vary so come early for best selection!
We will also have industry professionals available to answer questions and help with picking a tree, as well as tips on proper mulching and protecting trees from deer. Trees will be available behind City Hall.
This year’s tree offering includes: several varieties of dogwood, jade magnolia, Carolina silver bell, trident maple and serviceberry
